Creative Work Systems helps people with cognitive, physical and psychiatric disabilities increase self-sufficiency through employment, independent living support, personal skills development, and social/interpersonal opportunities. CWS diminishes the social, cultural, employment, attitudinal and physical barriers that impede participation in community life. CWS provides these services in the least restrictive, most cost-effective manner possible. Satisfying the consumer is paramount at Creative Work Systems, and whenever necessary, services are modified to achieve this goal.
Central to each and every CWS program is the understanding that all people have a valuable contribution to make to each other and to society. By combining this understanding with a standard of excellence throughout all CWS programs, we can make a positive and significant difference both for individuals and for the community.
I worked with a sheltered workshop in my previous business very successfully, keeping up to 40 people employed assembling fasteners. I am hopeful that this project will ultimately engage that many again, in sorting and packing items for recycling.
